Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation Foundation

The Foundation exists to support the Department of Parks and Recreation by raising funds, accepting gifts and providing other resources to enhance existing programs, services, facilities and technology.

The Foundation will cultivate the development of new programs, services, facilities, and technology, and acquisitions of open space for active or passive recreation, parks and preserves.

Join us in making Virginia Beach a "Community for a Lifetime." You can participate by:

• joining the Foundation
• purchasing a bench or tree in honor of or in memory of someone special
• volunteering your time to our fundraisers
• making connections with your service clubs to raise funds for a good cause
• buying stickers at Wild River Outfitters

Our fundraising events include:

• an annual golf tournament
• recycling ink cartridges and cell phones

Whether it’s a gift we treasure such as open space, a trust we preserve such as a park, or a legacy that we leave such as trees, benches, playground...
